Travelling by car
Note: On Austrian motorways (usually prefixed with an A) it is generally mandatory to display a Vignette toll sticker. On the route from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands as far as Kufstein, the Vignette has been mandatory since 1 December 2013. Winter tyres are also mandatory in Austria from November to March and in wintery conditions.
Travelling from Germany
Leave the A12 Inntal motorway, travelling from Munich/Rosenheim, at the “Kufstein Süd” exit (Vignette checkpoint). Follow the 178 federal highway past Scheffau and Ellmau, continuing towards Going am Wilden Kaiser. After Ellmau, turn left onto Innsbruckerstrasse and you will arrive at the Hotel Blattlhof car park.
Travelling from Switzerland
Follow the A12 Inntal motorway through Innsbruck and onwards towards Munich/Salzburg, leaving it at the “Wörgl Ost” exit. Continue on the B178 federal highway in the direction of St. Johann and Going am Wilden Kaiser. You will pass the villages of Söll and Ellmau. Directly after Ellmau, turn left onto Innsbruckerstrasse – and you will see the Blattlhof.
Travelling from Italy
Enter Austria via the Brenner Pass and follow the A13 Brenner motorway as far as Innsbruck, where you should change to the A12, the Inntal motorway, in the direction of Munich/Salzburg. Leave the motorway at the “Wörgl Ost” exit. Continue on the B178 federal highway in the direction of St. Johann and Going am Wilden Kaiser, passing Söll and Ellmau. Directly after Ellmau, turn left onto Innsbruckerstrasse. You have reached your destination! Welcome to the Blattlhof.
Travelling from eastern Austria, Hungary or the Czech Republic
Follow the A1 Western motorway towards Salzburg. After reaching Salzburg, continue in the direction of Munich until you enter Germany. Then follow the Lofer transit route – B21 and B178 Loferer Strasse via Bad Reichenhall, Lofer, Waidring and St. Johann in Tirol, continuing towards Wörgl, until you reach Going am Wilden Kaiser. When you reach the end of the village, heading towards Ellmau, turn right onto Innsbruckerstrasse and you have arrived.
Travelling by train
Come to us at the Blattlhof relaxed, without traffic jams or stress. The nearest train stations are Wörgl, Kufstein and St. Johann. Train station shuttles run to us from these at regular intervals. Further details and timetable can be found here.
